Deveau Scholarship Bachelor Education (202)

African Nova Scotian and Indigenous resident from Nova Scotia entering first year of Bachelor of Education program. Entrance scholarship valued at $15,000 is awarded in equal amounts of $3,000 annually throughout four years of study. Students are required to have a minimum 70% average based on first semester grade 12 final marks to be considered.

The selection committee looks for high school achievement and evidence of leadership, community involvement and a clear plan for the place of a university education in supporting their efforts to advance their personal and academic development.
 
  • African Nova Scotian Student
    • Canadian Citizens or permanent residents of Canada whose parent(s) is/are of African descent
    • Residents of Nova Scotia
    • Attended high school in Nova Scotia
  • Aboriginal students 
    • Canadian Citizens or permanent residents of Canada 
    • Preference will be given to students from Mi’kmaq communities who are residents of Atlantic Canada 
This award is available to applicants who have been accepted with an admissions average of 70% or higher based on first semester grade 12 final marks to be considered.

If you were previously offered a StFX entrance scholarship the Deveau scholarship is an addition to the prior award.
